Technically, the Korean War is still ongoing, as no formal peace treaty was ever signed. The fighting ended 58 years ago to the day with an armistice between the two sides. North Korean diplomats who are currently visiting the United States have expressed their renewed desire to formalize the peace with an official treaty.
